Laura Williams is a former couch potato who has revamped her lifestyle to become one of the UK’s leading fitness experts.

Laura Williams found exercise relatively late in life – in fact, she still has a copy of an old PE report which says: “Laura participates with the minimum effort and enthusiasm.” Laura believes this has stood her in good stead for motivating – and empathising with people who don’t warm to the idea of making lasting lifestyle changes.

Laura runs her own successful London-based personal training business, with extensive experience of working with a range of abilities, from the elite athlete to the reluctant celebrity exerciser.

She is also an established health and fitness journalist – published work includes content for NetDoctor and Harpers Bazaar; City AM, and LV.

Laura also makes fitness videos with Metro.co.uk, Woman & Home and the Press Association, as well as Fitbit UK.

As well as being a top-ranking fitness expert, Laura is an established media commentator – she regularly comments in the media on a variety of diet and fitness-related topics, including do-able fitness tips for Mail Online; the subject of New Year’s Resolutions for Sky News, and for the PA’s News Wire on healthy adolescent dieting. She has also appeared on radio and television including BBC News, Sky News and ITV’s Tonight show.

Laura’s also contributed to many high-profile media campaigns as a diet and fitness expert –from compiling fitness content for Amazon’s Sports & Leisure Department to being the resident Fitness and Nutrition Expert on the Pampers Village Parenting Panel, Laura’s experience is diverse. Laura has worked with Lauren Goodger from TOWIE for Closer and Heat magazines, and Made in Chelsea’s Binky Felstead on a campaign for Wall’s Solero.

Laura is also the GoodGym trainer for Tower Hamlets, a role she enjoys enormously, whether leading a large group of runners to a local volunteering opportunity, or writing the lively follow-up run report!

Laura is an accredited Level 3 Personal Trainer, also qualified in Nutrition and Weight Management as well as being a qualified Pilates teacher, with additional qualifications in Sports Conditioning and Pre-and-Post Natal Fitness.
